Course Description

Gambling: A Bad Bet for Lawyers examines concepts of process addiction. The similarities and differences between substance addictions and process addictions, like gambling, are explored. Problem gambling and why it is particularly troublesome for lawyers is explained. The participant will learn about the various types of gamblers, the mindset of problem gamblers, and how to identify someone with a gambling problem. Assessment and treatment are discussed.
